Having recently posted a bunch of names linked to the colour blue, I came across the name 'Claret'(pronounced Klar-et) and I am loving it.
Claret is a rich purplish red colour similar to 'Burgundy' and it sounds a little like names such as Clara and Claire. The name is also linked to wines and wine tasting. This name comes off as very classy and an alternative to other popular names. It's not too frilly or girly which makes it rather nice and gender free. It's similar to the word 'clarity' like the clarity of a precious gem.
